A property in the heart of Micheldever Village that requires a two storey extension to the rear providing additional floor space to the existing kitchen and diner at ground floor level and larger footprint to the existing bedrooms. The side elevation to have a single storey utility extension and a linked double garage. Both the ground and first floors benefitted from a complete make over, with continuous italian porcelain tiles throughout the ground floor, 6meter long bi-folding doors & a contemporary style kitchen. The first floor had a new bathroom which benefits now from a wet room floor arrangement, new en-suite to bedroom 2. The master bedroom having had a bespoke walk-in dressing area with hand built floor to ceiling wardrobes and units. Needless to say, decorated throughout!
Peter Tesar Architectural Design Limited have provided everything from the initial consultation advice and design scheme through to project management. The location being in a conservation area, planning needed to be sympathetic to the surrounding area. Following a successful planning and conservation application, building regulation approval was achieved followed by providing a schedule of works which accompanied the design scheme for a select tender process. Four tenders had been sought and the successful principal contractor nominated, the contract being awarded to ASP Murphy builders.

We began working with Pete right from the outset of our decision to do an extension on our property. Pete provided sound advice and immediately understood our requirements, and formed these into a draft plan that with some minor tweaks became our final plan. Pete managed our planning application and met with the planning officers to ensure that they had all the information that they needed to approve the planning application.
Pete managed the builder tenders and building regulation requirements on our behalf so that we were able to make sound decisions.
We continued to engage Pete to project manage the build and he was extremely ‘hands on’ and involved during the whole process. He proactively managed any issues and kept us very well informed and updated giving us total reassurance throughout the whole project. This resulted in our extension being completed within timescale and on budget.
Peter Tesar heads an experienced and knowledgeable architectural practice who are extremely professional and we would highly recommend.
